If I were fortunate to be in the enviable position of owning something which '...will only ever go up in price so it is better than money in the bank' and also like you, not desperate to sell; then selling it would be the last thing I'd actually do. I'd keep hold of it, sit back and just watch it increase in value or perhaps I'd swap it for something as equally as valuable which would also only ever go up in price so and be better than money in the bank.
