All the ball and chain needed was a screwdriver to adjust the tension on the skin of her Bodhran, (Irish Drum,) before going out to the Monday night folk jam session in the local boozer. What she did not need to do was take parts of my small specialist socket/screw driver set, from the Oilfield's tool roll, strapped to the back of the bike. I already got her a small precision tool kit for use in the house for changing watch batteries, and similar.

My one worry is, if I die first, she might sell the bikes for what I said I paid for them.

That sort of thing doesn't happen in this household. The long haired one just points at things and says, "That needs fixing." Then I get the tools out and fix it. Whatever it may be... She's the boss.. or, at least, I let her think so... I don't touch her washing machine, she doesn't touch my (dare I sat it?) toolkit...

I'm not allowed to touch the washing machine until it goes wrong and then it's my fault it's not working.
