Well i knew somehow it was only a matter of time before i was a Bullet owner again and i am now the proud owner of a 2003 Bullet 65. I was going to go for an EFI then had a ride on my mates 350 (only had 500's in the past)and i really liked it so that got me thinking. Next day in work (motorbike workshop) noticed a customer looking at our sales bikes. Can i help you i said, Yeah fancy another bike but you wont take mine in part ex its an Enfield Bullet. 5 hours later i own a Bullet!! Never rode the 65 model and with a 5 speed box and seems a better clutch than my previous 4 speed models. Its in a bit of a partial Trials trim with the tool boxes off, single saddle etc but i may put it back to standard, feels good and looking forward to being on here again.

Nah, it can't be a 65 'cos they didn't make 500 Bullets in 1965 what? oh, sorry, wrong thread!

Welcome back, and good choice! I rode a Sixty/5 some time ago in a head to head road test with Gordon May and I really liked it. Now, with all the parts our Hosts offer you have the best of both worlds, an engine with plenty of options for tuning or customising and that excellent 5 speed box. Add all the chassis extras available and there's the near perfect 500 Bullet. (Never perfect or we'd have nothing to do!) Good timing for the summer too, welcome back!

this should show a pic of my sixty5, 2003,just after delivery by seller.
among a few mods perhaps the biggest and best is the disc conversion, done by a previous owner.

Looking round my bike i can see alot has been done to it, breather mod, electronic ignition. battery covers, lithium battery etc and the start of a trials type thing going on. The guy i got it off said the motor was rebuilt by someone who knows his stuff? it certainly shows in the performance as it seems much better than my others although running a bit rich i think need to mess with the Amal.

First good ride today with Off road type bars on it, very comfortable but popped to see my mate with his standard 350 and after seeing his i may be tempted to put it back to standard from the trials look, he has an Electra seat which i had on my last one, so comfy.
