I have recently seen several motorway repair vehicles, diggers etc., with an orange light on top as usual, but also a green one. I thought green was reserved for emergency doctors.

Anyone know anything about this?

"Seat belts - Green light fitted to exterior of cab, which is lit when seat belt is worn"

That answers that, then! Many thanks for quick reply, it really was puzzling me. I've only seen them on parked-up vehicles, unlit, so assume they would be NON-flashing green lights.

How bloody pointless is that?

How about a flashing purple one with synchronised raspberry noise whenever the diver farts?

A bit off-topic. Down here, when lit,a green light on top of a Taxi hail light means the driver is in trouble and needs assistance.
