Came to this late. Search my threads (bit like this but with 105 replies) - I imported a dodgy 350 Bullet from India, and the forum had their batch of naysayers all lined up. The REOC were useless in assisting, although quite nice being useless. I submitted what I had to DVLA, got it MOT'd on the frame number only (so had to trailer it to the MOT shop). I got an import agent to do all the paperwork and mine is listed as an archeological artifact. Stick at it, you will succeed one way or another.
