Hi all can you tell me it the 500efi tows a trailer ok I know a lot of you have them it's a small shuttle trailer I currently tow it be hind my Kawasaki er500 but would like to share the touring duties between them

Thanks made my tow bar today will try it out tomorrow with camping gear in and wife on the back to the garden center

It's perfectly ok to make a tow bar for your bike as there are no legal requirements covering it like there are cars

vill98, you could not be more wrong. (Seriously.) There are construction and use regulations AND laws. I would suggest NOT making a tow hitch for a motorcycle without doing some research.

I can tell you that I am correct i work in the vehicle inspection agency and there are high rules for them and the trailer should have the markings on and that is it legal iam ok so thanks but no thanks for your advice even if you where correct there are a lot of bikes to take of the road in the reoc alone

It didn't mention type of towing hook though, so back to 1 foot of chain, padlock and a supermarket trolley?

The trailer can not be more than 2.5m from rear axle to rear of trailer and no wider than 1m motorcycle and trailer must show kerb weight no rules for the tow bar on the gov site and as I have made them for my last 3 bikespluse other people I know what iam doing
