ROYAL ENFIELD CONTINENTAL GT early version with dark grey metallic silver paintwork.

Does anyone have a modern code or have any research for the original silver colour. I cannot scan any parts as I have just had it professionally resprayed but the colour is a much lighter silver colour and not like how it was out the factory.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Try RSbikepaint, they have a very useful search engine on their site. I'm not completely convinced about some of the shades but the quality is excellent. Not cheap either but you get what you pay for! REgards, Mark

I struggled to find the colours for the V50 Monza and ended up going to a helpful paint supplier who basically matched it with colour cards none of the codes in his database making the slightest sense. Ended up with a perfect match but I did have an example to copy.

Having a paint shop scan the original paint is the best option but you cannot do that because it has been resprayed. Cars have a paint code on the serial number plate but RE bikes don't. I've tried and failed to get a paint code for my new model from RE. It's the lighter silver or "ash", one or the other, and the usual black, I've got a couple of flakes under screws on the black and trivial stone chips on the silver, doh! H do stock the standard paints but cannot (Royal Mail: not allowed to) ship rattle cans, again no code though. Otoh I have had aerosols shipped to me by couriers. Do you not have any photographs of the original paint colour, scan the photo?
