What is the difference between four wire stators? One is wired Red/Orange across two poles and Black/Yellow across four poles. The other is Orange/Yellow across three poles and Purple/Purple across three poles.

First stator: red and black wires to regulator/rectifier, orange and yellow to AC regulator for headlamp.

Second stator: purple wires to regulator/rectifier, orange and yellow to AC regulator for headlamp as above.

Different suppliers, different colour wires to regulator/rectifier.

Thank you. I still wonder why one stator is configured three/three pole and the other is configured two/four pole?

Possibly one has more coils dedicated to the AC headlamp output. Are they both off (or for) kick start bikes? A.

Are the coils the same width? The stator for an E/S bike could be higher output for the DC side to keep the battery better charged. A
