Hi sofiaspin. Yes, I always have at least one more bike in addition to my Bullet. There are all sorts of good reasons. Probably the main one for me is the Bullet's inability to cope with road salt. It has large areas of unprotected aluminium and chrome, and both are extremely vulnerable to corrosion in the presence of salt. So as a result I don't use it much in those winter months.



Also, it isn't suited to 80+mph journeys, which I make occasionally. I use the Bullet by default, but if it's winter, or I need to travel fast and far, I dig out the Versys, which is far more suited to such things.

Fitted the Amal MK1 last night. Bike rund like a dream. All problems gone and I am very satisfyed. In my opinion this carb looks more correct on the bike than than the Micarb did.

That is good and as expected by me, anyway. They are perfect for the bikes.

Those top mounting plates on the gearbox don't look right, have you come up with some custom arrangement? Usually the two 8mm or 5/16" holes are on the bottom edge and line up with the top of the gearbox, leaving the 1/2" holes at the top for the through bolt. A
