Hi all :-)
I am new to this forum, so sorry if I make some mistakes along the way.

I have a Royal Enfield Classic EFi 500 (2010). Please forgive me if in future posts I refer to Harry...this is the bike's name :-). Daft eh?

I have put a new battery on the bike but it will not start. I get the sound of the fuel injector, lights all work, horn works but no engine.
The red kill switch is in the run position. The side stand is up.

Please could someone advise me about where to look. The six fuses that I can see in the fuse box (next to the battery housing) all appear to be ok (however are all 20amp fuses?!- is that correct for one thing?).

Anyhow, I would be grateful of your knowledge on this as it cannot be the first time this has happened.

Thank you in advance.

Try pulling the clutch in when you press the starter button. Also just because the side stand is up does not mean the microswitch is working, it, may be stuck.

Hi all,

Thank you for the suggestions :-)

@Thack - I will check today for a spark.
@papasmurf - I had tried pulling the clutch in but will look at the micro-switch also.
@Gaz262 - the bike isn't firing at all :-(

Thank you so very much for your suggestions. I will disappear to the garage this afternoon to try these suggestions out.
I will keep you posted of progress with Harry.

Have a nice day and enjoy the sun where you are.

re the side stand switch.. I have the same model (2015).. I simply disconnected the switch at the first junction connectors, as I don't like it not being able to tick over on the side stand
