I was in my local Enfield dealer yesterday buying oil for an oil change on my Kawasaki and I asked if they had any idea of a price for the Himalayan when it is available in the UK, they said no most likely under £4000, not sure how that would compare to other similar bikes if it was at about that price

The home market bike does not meet Euro 4 regs and therefore cannot, as it stands, be sold in the UK. It would need to have EFI to meet the emission regs and ABS to meet the safety regs. My guess is that it'll be a while before a compliant bike is launched, if ever, not least because all the cr*p that has to be fitted these days militates against the whole ethos of the bike (i.e. rugged simplicity). A great pity, though I suppose there might be a way to import one privately.

I have yet to see ANY OFFICIAL notification that ABS is going to be a requirement on new motorcycles sold in the UK.
(We have been through this once before. Until there is an OFFICIAL notification to UK motorcycle sales outlets it is NOT going to happen.)

link worked for me,,,,,,, still think it's ugly though, and I can't see it replacing my 29 year old Transalp,,,,,,,,,,,, Even after 70k it still starts instantly and runs faultlessly, as much as I like my Bullet I have to say RE build quality leaves a lot to be desired.

I was watching a video on youtube about the himalayan, and the guy doing the test mentioned that there is space built into the bike for abs gubbins and fuel injection pumps etc. So hopefully it will come to this country

just a thought.. if we vote to leave the EU, will we still have to have machines that comply with EU4 or 5?
