had a spare hour on Tuesday so took exhaust off so I could get good access and polished the right hand side of the engine. came up quite nice!

I only use three steps.. 1st one with a designated polishing mop on the electric drill.. using a rolson 'clean and polish' compound. to be honest, you could leave it at that, its quite good.

then I swap mops and use solvol aluminium polish, then with same mop finish with a rolson finishing polish / wax.

I did the front forks on the 2006 model I had last year, but it was a bit of a bitch to keep clean. so, with my new one, I've cleaned them and sprayed them with '5 wheels silver', which just wipes clean and looks good.
