Two types of screw drivers, a Visegrip and a smaller Visegrip with the needle-nose cuts down on the number of spanners needed. The original tool kit with the Bullet contained some spanners which fitted nothing on the bike.

I made the dreadful mistake of unpacking the supplied toolkit on my Electra X(ish) to check what was in it.
I lost the will to live trying to repack it. (I never have managed to re-pack the one that came with the wife's VS800 Intruder.)

I have had a look and can't find a reason why the fuse blew , I took the seat off and re fitted it with better bolts as there was a nut loose , during this I might of in settled the rear light wiring when re fitting but it was a few days before the fuse blew.
All is well now and getting out on the old thing as often as possible.

A couple of tools that I carry which no-one else has mentioned:
A large pair of artery forceps and a CO2 tyre inflator with a few cartridges.

I carry double end twin size spanners, Allen keys, and enough of them to allow me to do most jobs on the RE, at road side. I should really start carrying spare break cable, clutch cable, puncture repair kit or replacement inner tube. On a long journey or even a tours some spare engine oil and the previously mentioned.

Yesterday my Bullet 350 suffered a complete electrical failure and I pushed it 6 miles home. I think it has a short circuit somewhere. If I'd had a bit of wire and a couple of crocodile clips I could probably have bodged a connection that went only to the ignition and ridden home.

It being a fine day for once, I took the Electra X(ish) out for a long ride. After the usual switches off, switches on starting procedure it started and ran first touch on the button. No tools were needed for all of the trip.
However I noticed the usual vibrations were much diminished. Does this mean the engine is a about to blow, or it just a case of the vibrations lessen with mileage.

Fewer vibrations? Now that is something to worry over!

Presto, I could even see behind me in the mirrors and that is a first.
