Guys,
Went to fire up the bullet today but nothing on inspection I found a blown fuse in the battery cover.
Popped up to bennets and new fuse fired up. This got me thinking when your riding what tools and spares if any do you carry with you ?.

Reds, you do come up with them! After the "What oil" thread probably the next most asked is "What tools"! The answer as always, is: it depends. Some folk won't attempt anything and just carry an RAC/AA card, some pack for a top end rebuild. You said the PO had a well prepared bike, surely he had a toolkit on there? Tell us whats in it, that would make a nice change!

LOTS of ideas if you type in WHAT TOOLS in the Search Box at the top left of this screen.

Good luck, Chris

I think mark is reffering to me regarding packing for a top end rebuild. I do carry a fair selection on long trips. But short journeys i take a set of plugs and a spanner. Ed

I take that as a compliment mark M :)

in all honesty I was just throwing it out there and knowledge is power so hearing your options will help me and probably many more , as for me I have a spark plug , a few spammers screw driver and a pair of pliers in a tool bag behind my seat.

Reds, lots of tools. I also have spare cables "doubled up" on the bike so I don't need to remove the petrol tank in case of a breakage.

A spare inner tube, and tire pressure gauge, as I dont trust the ones at most service stations?

First job for you Reds, find out why the fuse blew.

Assuming you can't find any reason for the fuse to blow, and there isn't always a reason, make sure you have spare fuses. Or a bit of silver foil from a fag packet as a get you home fix.
