Hello,
my 1965 MkI Interceptor has a tacho cable about 4 feet long! I think it is the original one.
Looking at the parts book it says part number DF1111/15/43 implying 43" in length.
This is way too long, it could be 12" shorter, possibly more.
Does anyone know why it would be that long?
I assume I can use any shorter chronometric rev counter cable if I want to.
Shame to take off the original one but it just flaps about.
See this pic, the owner before me taped it to the front crash bar.

Weird.

I see that under the part number Hitchcocks already offer a shorter cable with the following description "REV COUNTER CABLE, 36'', CHRONOMETRIC SQ/SP (reduced from original 43'' as standard cable is too long)"

It's the same as a 1A, 34". That's what I have on my 66 Mk1. Location of the clock itself doesn't really change despite alteration from Chronometrics to Magnetics hence length remains the same.
