Hi everyone just thought I'd post a photo of the revamped pipe work, done so all the oil goes through the filter before it goes to my the rockers and PRV. br

Nice one Steve, you've re-rooted the pipes very neatly...and achieved full flow filtering....just to check though, the relief valve is now on the front of the tappet cover?....My worry is that the flow into the valve is now back to front, but perhaps the actual valve is inside the extended cover which will be OK..?.... Hi Les thanks for the comment, the valve is still in the same place its inside the banjo bolt that goes through the tappet cover. All its done is put the pipe after the filter here's the other pic before

Sorry chaps, I seem to be missing something here. I'm very interested in this, but can't see a filter anywhere. Presume it's on the drive side of the barrel somewhere looking at the pipe work? Do you have a pic showing this (or maybe if you've shown this on another thread, can you give a link to that?)

Thanks

Stephen

Ah I get it...for some reason I thought the OPR kit had the valve mounted on the crankcase union on the front of the engine, I didn't realise the valve is situated inside the cover which is where it needs to be with the revamped route....So yes, a very nice layout....
Now only one thing that springs to mind and I'd thought I'd mention it...IE: the large capacity of the filter can....You probably do this anyway, but hopefully you fill the filter up manually with oil before the first start after fitting it or changing it? This would otherwise take quite some time to fill from the scavenge line otherwise.

For Stephen PO51UHD: Steve shows the other side on the photos in the thread "Pete" ...back 3 pages on the message list...the filter is on the other side....Les

Hi Les thanks for the heads up, but as you say I manually fill the filter and also turn the engine over until the oil comes out the rocker banjos. ;-))

Steve, good idea filling the filter with oil but turning the engine over until oil appears at the rockers is unnecessary. The rockers will manage quite well enough with what they have for a few minutes.
Good Job!!
