If you look at the number of "logistics hubs" that have sprung up like mushrooms round motorway junctions (see M1 J12 for Amazon etc or Grove Park M1 J15 for instance,) you'll see that the distribution industry now uses lorries on roads as a form of mobile warehousing. This is not what roads were built for either. I would like to see a campaign to re-introduce bends into roads, de-dual carriageways and re-install plenty of hazards like fords, low bridges, hump back bridges, blind bends and anything else the old signs used to warn of! This would have the useful dual purpose of making roads more fun for old bikes and culling morons in cars with way too much power and too many distractions on the dashboard. Well I can dream...
