Did enfield produce a 350cc with a electric leg?

AVL 350 Thunderbird import, not sure if Watsonian imported any 350's, so any others would be imports.

It replaces the kickstart for older people.

Thanks as a member of NABD thanks for the clarification, it also is not just old people who may need an electric starter. There are also electric centre stands for amputees.

Just keep in mind that a 350 is bloody easy to kick start. I have been known to start mine with a gentle push on the lever at times by hand. I usually stand beside mine and start with my left leg - no medical reason for that I just prefer it that way.

Yes Rusty, I stay my 350 by hand regularly if it's up on the lift. Just keep you thumb out of the way!

before switching to the UCE engine RE (India) produced 3 E/S 350cc bikes for the home market, the Electra based on the classic Bullet engine (not to be confused with the Electra-X 500 sold here), as well as the Machismo and the previously mentioned Thunderbird. The Thunderbird and the Machismo both use the AVL lean burn engine. All three bikes originally appeared as kick start only models, the E/S variants appeared towards the end, if I remember correctly.



Watsonian-Squire only imported the standard 4 speed kick start Bullet in 350 form, but a number of the others have found their way over here as grey imports. Here's a modified E/S Thunderbird I saw at the Royal Enfield day at Sammy Miller's last year. Does anyone here own it?
