Hi Davie, I actually bought them for my Suzuki X7 as the shocks on that were knackered (were rubbish new and hadn't improved over 38 years!) and I wanted some a bit longer to help ground clearance but didn't want to spend a lot on shocks for a bike I only put a few hundred miles a year on. The chap at TEC kindly supplied me with a lighter set of springs (as well as the originals) as the X7 is a fair bit lighter than the modern bonnie.
After being impressed with them for the price, and after yet another jarring two up ride on the Enfield, I thought worth swapping them to the Ennie through the Winter. Initially they were bit lightly sprung, especially two up, so I've switched back to the original bonnie springs that were supplied and they're pretty good for pillion (wife is only 8st) but occasionally bottom on bigger bumps and can feel a bit underdamped on long, 'enfield high speed' sweepers with the extra weight of my wife. I would say they're perfect for me though one up, a good blend of nothing too harsh gets through to my backside yet nicely sprung & damped for riding a quick as the Ennie will allow, I love chucking it about the backlanes & b roads
I did buy a pair of budget (£65) ebay shocks to allow me to put them back on the X7 but no where near as good so have left the TEC's on the Ennie as I use that all the time (out on it today around the New Forest) and stuck the ebay specials on the X7 where they don't feel so bad, the 50kg lower weight of the X7 probably helps.
Apologies for the ramble, in short, don't think you can go wrong for £99 with the TEC's, particularly as you can jack the ride height up a bit with the included extensions if you fancy a bit of off-roading ; )
