Striped and Cleaned my Long standing & Long Running 350 (India) 350 ...any way i found in its upper half :where the Slide & Needle go a small 5mm Ball Bearing??? Never noticed one before in a Clean up or on other Bullets I have looked after so todays Question: VM24 & a Small 5mm aprox Ball Bearing? "Foreign Object" or "Lose Part" ............... My Bikes Reluctance to start was either that Ball Bearing or "I Think" part RUBBER CAP, THROTTLE CABLE Code: 141956 had split and disintegrated enough to hold the cable up a bit ..Still a Bit of fine tunning to do yet but Great Bike and Great Carb.. ;0)

I can only think its the nipple from the end of the throttle cable, broken off..

Check your cable is still intact, Surely it can't be left from a previous broken cable...

Perhaps it was placed there to stop the slide from fully opening?

There are three or four small brass ball bearings used to blank off various drillings in the carb body. Other than it being one of those it must be a ‘foreign’ body that has lost its way.

Only other thing I can think of is the little locating peg in the side of the slide bore that stops the slide rotating in bore.
