Supposed to be dry yesterday (Don't laugh) and I had to go visit my dad, so I thought I'd go on the bike. I was prepared to be let down as the bike hasn't been used since the beginning of December but I was pleasantly surprised to find it started after a couple of kicks and it ran well!! What a RELIABLE machine!! (Ahem). *NOTE* I gave myself and the bike a good wipe down after this 'dry ride'. Looking forward to spring!! Ride safe!

Went for a dry ride yesterday too. Made the mistake of putting my hand under the front lip of the mudguard afterwards and came away with a good handful of thick sticky mud.

The roads up here are filthy - I blame the farmers!

Nice today. Roads still greasy. Hate complaining about too much sun but I couldn't see squat even with the Oakleys on, must remember to use the lid with the peak.

Where can I buy a proper 3-stud peak (serious question) ?

Another wet and muddy ride today, couple of hours around New Forest back roads with wife as pillion, some were more mud than tarmac! A couple of nice coffee stops though to compensate and as it's mucky every week I don't feel guilty for putting the RE back in the garage still filthy, it is my Winter bike after all ; )

Bell lids don't fit me, weird. Their peaks are either too short or have an annoying lip on them for my taste.

My Scorpion EX-220 has peak or visor and internal drop-down sun screen, but it does not fir well on the cheeks.

Bultaco lids seem to have disappeared of the face of the planet, they had goo long curved peaks. I've got one but it's a bit like wearing a bowling ball. I do like their peaks.

The Held fits me well but maybe a bit too cheap and cheerful, made in China ...

The Spada has an old school visor, no peak but very comfy, unsurprisingly rather italian looking.

Now looking at HJC. They do a FG-70s with a 3-stud and an internal drop down sun-visor, and they do peaks. HJC 3-stud peaks can be had on-line e.g. http://www.openfacehelmets.co.uk/HJC-Helmets.aspx/
