And for more info... I have taken my EFI (when in better nick) on long road trips before. Fully laden with luggage, camping gear and pillion for days, sometimes weeks at a time. A 10 day trip to Luxembourg from Scotland via everywhere is a lot of camping gear for two people! I lost two sprocket teeth on that trip... but the bike still went from A to B... until the rear brake seized... and was then unseized via a blowtorch. The engine is utilitarian, the bike itself is almost agricultural. But things will go wrong and will need replaced/servicing. I don't have a real problem with that, but I struggle for time to keep up with things.

I realise this is slightly off topic but i have had lots of Jap bikes which have clocked high mileages in the past: i used to own a Honda CB250 RS with well over 80K,a 600 Fazer with over 40K and currently have a Honda XBR500 with approx 65K on the clock,a CB250 RS coming up to 40K and a VT500 with well over 50K and all have run fine.I fully expect my EFI to go on for many more trouble free years!
