If you did particularly want it in the toolbox you could use that heat transfer paste they use on computer CPUs. You could then use the toolbox itself as a heat sink. That would work.

Not sure...

Rectifier was very hot and toolbox was too, thus the bit about throwing bacon and eggs in!

That's reassuring information from Paul Goff. The toolbox in this case is vented, but the Powerbox runs at 45 deg C on a 25deg C day (measured with an IR gun) , so I was keen to hear of operating comparisons between the two locations.
