There has been a debate on the yahoo interceptor group about the 'Reg Thomas' Papers and best way forward.

Reg Thomas? He was the last designer or chief draughtsman sort of thing and as such, had a huge collection of original paperwork, much of which related to the interceptors built at Westwood. There are committee meetings, bikes and things that were never produced, just a goldmine that has been acquired. I hope it's no secret, but Allen Hitchcock successfully big on the archive which the REOC is putting up half the money towards. (A real big thanks guys!) Had the archive gone to a private collector, there would be a good chance that we would never get to see it.

Being the usual quick acting and rash person I am, I have put together a 'demonstration database' which is a load of RE and RE related stuff (NOT Reggie's stuff though), some of which fell of the back of a modem... (came from other sites). Just for a demonstration of what can be done! (did it in a day, YAY!).

I have plans to put in a search engine if I 'get the job' but am not bothering with the demo. It is just one way of doing things. Hopefully your ideas, criticism's and inevitable arguments are welcomed. It may not turnout anything like the demo, but at least you have something to look at! It should all work, but if not, there is a great error page complete with links and sound!

Demo RE type database

(Anyway it might be crap!)

They are all supposed to open.

The stuff that isn't mine is freely available on internet sites, should be ok, but I can always take an item down if I get a complaint.

Hello Barnes, I can open everything on an iMac. Very interesting archive Simon, thanks so much for the link.
