Have you seen the latest offers from Mr H? Just saying, absolutely no connection with the company and I don't have PPI. I Have a rather large steel shelter over me, though, that should stop the bullets!

Thinking about it, when I was an engineer on the tugs, the exhaust pipes from the main engines, generators and any other auxiliary engines were always wrapped or 'lagged'. The tugs weren't very fast at all, but you didn't get burned if you touched the exhaust pipes!

Paul raises a worthwhile point (if any point made under this subject is ‘worthwhile’!!!). Wrapped exhaust pipes in a confined area seem a sensible idea, not just to protect flesh from being burned but to reduce air temperature under the bonnet, (or maybe behind a fairing), which, I’d guess, would contribute to performance. ;-)
