Nord-Lock Wedge-Locking Washers - Junker Vibration Test, find it on YouTube, may'be they had Enfields in mind when these were dreamt up.

Hmmm! These look neat, Might well solve a problem, but the guy said the angle was important, and imperial threads have different TPI, so might this affect their efficiency?

used these many times, better than any spring or star-washer and work well on imperial and metric threads

Thanks Neddy, Paul and RoSy, I will take a note of these. Wonder if they sell in France or Swizzeland?

I found some for sale on ebay, I don't think you'll have a hard time getting them in the nearest equivalent metric dimensions. A.

Whilst I'm sure they work well on big industrial stuff, to me they look more like a solution waiting to find a problem.

Given the extreme lengths the HD boys go to to stop their bars shaking (seriously, 'bar snake' anyone?), they're probably more use on a Harley [sniffs: the cheek of the man] ;-)

And now a short advertisement for Loctite..

You must have some weird Harley riding mates, I've had 5 Harleys over the last 27 years and never noticed a problem, the bars on my Enfield shake more,,,,,,,,,,,, Although I'm confused as to why any body would buy a V twin or a single if they're looking for a smooth ride,,,,,,,,,,,,Never had anything shake loose on a Harley either, unlike my old Guzzi,,,,,,
