Presto, using the front brake at all when cornering, is asking to have the front end break away.
(To put this into perspective, when I had a Yamaha Radian, I wore the front tyre out before the back tyre.)
I had interesting conversation with a police sergeant motorcyclist who checks up on motorcycle accident deaths which involved no other vehicle. He stated in the majority of cases where a corner has been involved the bike was capable of going around the corner at the speed when the accident occurred, the rider wasn't.

Depends when and how you use the front brake in a bend.

That policeman's point is exactly the point I'm making.

We got loads of country roads with high banks and hedges. Long curves are a problem as you cannot see through them, but even at a slow speed, if you come across two four wheelers who have stopped whilst trying to joust past each other, it needs a quick application of the brake.

The tightness of the bum ring seems to be proportional to the pressure applied to the back brake.

PaulMH still no link to a government notice to motorcycle dealers, until someone links to that, which I have spent a long time looking for and can't find, it is not happening.
As for using a front brake in a corner, if you think you need to do that, you are going to fast for your own capabilities. In any case a very light touch on the rear brake is the best course of action, using the front brake can kill you.
That is why I am against linked brakes.

Around here we has horses. If you've ever ridden one or perhaps seen one kick a caravan clean off the road you give the stupid buggers a lot of respect, if they go sideways you stop until its rider gets it sorted out.

It's no good braking after you go into a bend. A lot of folks learn in cars, you can brake on a bend in a car but not a bike; a car can corner quicker than a bike because it doesn't fall over, use the same habit on a bike and you're off. Slow in fast out. Take the outside line (keep left on a right) rather than the racing line for a better view of the exit on a blind bend. We've got a couple of interesting "snail-cam" bends here that start gentle and get tighter as they do a 180° turn to catch the unwary, the farmers leave gates open for escapes. It's getting to the time of year we find cars halfway up trees in the morning.
