Just thought I'd introduce myself, been browsing this forum for a while now and finally got round to registering! I'm running in my EFI bullet which has been almost trouble free so far - are there any other enfields in plymouth?

Hi, do I detect a crapaud? I married an anes.

There will be plenty of RE but they have to be hidden away in case they frighten the plastic bikes.

Exile - "almost rouble free". Russian? What are you not telling?
Maybe the new RE will be a Minsk in disguise?

@ Chris..

I knew I was going to get some flak for that one.! 'trouble'.. not 'rouble'.. Not often, that I make a typo..!!

I am now a staunch supporter of the edit facility brigade. Once you hit the post button, you're screwed.

My point is, that a new machine shouldn't be ALMOST TROUBLE FREE. It should be flawless.. At least, until it is run in. I was interested in knowing what problems had been encountered.

(Now, closely proof reading before I hit the button...)

I am indeed a crapaud!
I've had both of the nuts holding the exhaust downpipe to the engine drop off - The replacements have been loctited in now so shouldn't come off. The fuel light won't light up when the ignition is switched on but it does work when the fuel runs low.
The engine light came on then it died at idle (Was fine straight after though) I did the diagnostic thing and got the code for the temperature sensor - I think the connector was just loose.

Other than that it's been absolutely brilliant and seems to have sorted itself out

Nuts on exhaust should not want Loctite there because it gets so hot and probably destroys is, tighten when hot but the cof oem gasket is a brittle cement biscuit, the copper washer is better. The fuel lamp is only supposed to come on when low. The MIL is supposed to come on if it dots out, it's not an engine run lamp but a diagnostic from the ecu. Check for loose connectors and all nut 'n bolts, Loctite is our friend. Stuff coming loose in first 300 miles seems to be normal, dealer should foc replace anything gone missing at first service.
