Aine, what is it you wanted from the Club? If it's registration forms you get those from the DVLA online. If it's a Dating Certificate the Club might not be able to help as it doesn't hold every record, some from the 1910s to late 1920s were held by the Science Museum in London but I think they are now at the Vintage Motorcycle Club who will charge a fee for research. And Tom Bray who is Machine Dating Officer for the REOC is snowed under with work, he says it's a full time job now! Finally you will still need to get that record from Oxford Archives as supporting evidence.

If the posted photograph is of your motorcycle then it is a 1929 Model 250 225cc. This model first appeared in 1928 and in 1930 was remodelled with minor changes (oil tank, gear change, battery holder) and redesignated the Model B. It was fitted with electric lighting as standard. I see that yours has had the lighting kit fitted which for 1929 was an option. Regards.

I HAVE BEEN IN touch with OXFORDSHIRE ARCHIVES and they have found my bike.first registered1927/28 and for the paltry some of 11 pounds are sending me a copy of the registration.thanks again everyone.

Can anyone tell me what value Is reasonable for the insurance company.I don't intend to restore it much as its running and original.

Aine, try asking Andy Tiernan, http://www.andybuysbikes.com/index.htm He has sold quite a few of these early 20s lightweights in the past so I reckon he'll have a good idea.
