My dad and I are renovating his 1992 Bullet which has stood in his garage for the last 12 years during which mice have been at the saddle.

I had a plan to get it recovered, but on seeing I can get new ones from India for less than Â£60 I was wondering what others have done?

The bike is currently in Shrewsbury and I live in Sheffield so if anyone can recommend someone to recover it that would be great.

hi Andrew,same problem march 2012 asked the gang advised me to recover come out fine still good on bullet 1991 500 good luck phil

There's a chap here in Barnstaple that does a made to measure recover with new foam for less than Â£30. Made to measure so you can choose how thick and how stepped up (or not) you want the seat and the finish is far superior to anything out of India. There's bound to be someone similar up your way.

Just get it recovered. All my bikes have seats recovered by Tony Archer in Huddersfield. Just call him up and tell him what you want. I had my enfield seat covered by him and all I said was make it comfortable, he then told me what was wrong with the original and he was correct. I have never had a niub backside since

Hi Andrew , just to second a recommendation for Tony Archer , I am another one who has all my bike seats re covered or made from scratch by him ,a genuine good guy .
