Hello,
I'm fitting a 535 big bore kit to my EFI classic.

I have a comprehensive workshop manual that states the Piston ring end gap for 1st 2nd and oil ring but this is for the 500 cc barrel.

I'm loathed to buy a GT continental manual, does any one know Max + Min gaps for the three rings on a 535 barrel?

Best regards.

G'day Albo
As mentioned above, the supplier is always the best source for clearances on their parts.
In addition however, the time honoured 'hotrod' rule is 4 - 6 thou per inch of bore (for the first and second rings). The clearance will vary depending on power level, head/block material, cooling (water or air), ring and piston type , power adders, etc etc,
If the manufacturers spec falls in line with this, you're good to proceed. If it doesn't, ask them why.
Regards
Paul
