I am apparently the proud new owner of an 06 bullet in trials trim. Won it today on e bay for what I consider a steal of a price. Now hoping for decent weather next sunday when I will be riding it home to Liverpool from Grimsby. I actually dont know what model but it has left foot change ( would that be a 5 speed) and disc front brake.I am not bothered really cos to my mind it was too good to pass up.Any and all experts here please be ready for what will probably be a load of questions while I learn my new bike.............

Yes thats the beast. Just spoken to the seller and its an electra with the trials bits added or alternately an electra with some electra bits removed depends how you look at it . I was actually looking for an older bike to build the way I had pictured in my head but even with what I have heard about electra issues I think this was underpriced, , I was suprised and quite the happy chappy when my bid came good . As the previous poster said , my head is telling me to just ride it and then make plans,,,,,,,,,,,,trouble is my heart is already drooling over some of our hosts parts. Time will tell which side wins

Well then
We got home ok, no issues apart from riding through a monsoon from manchester to liverpool. First impressions are that the rear suspension has less give than my old triumph hardtail chop used to have and the seat is an instrument of torture , I have sat on more comfortable blocks of concrete , that said I was giving it the big cheesy grin all the way home, almost as much fun as my ural outfit, I am loving this so far, ran comfortably at an indicated 60 smooth as owt, just enough vibrations to let you know its heart was beating away underneath you. When necessary a blip of the throttle would take it up into the low 70`s without any fuss andstill had a bit more to give but I didnt want to ask for it ,,,,,,,,,,I am in enough trouble as it is for buying another bike without blowing the bugger up on the way home. Even managed to kick start the couple times I stopped for fuel and brew/smoke.the speedo is as acurate as the citroen my son in law was driving ( him and two of the grandkids) and actually felt about right , just a bit faster than the majority of the hgv traffic so all in all I was impressed with my new toy pity I've got to work this week I could do with a bit of playing out.

Yes, they start out like that, make you smile.

Then when you get hooked, they want spares, upgrades, pampering, etc, and who can refuse their bike?
