Hi all, so stripped me 500 bullet down due ta the big end giving up the ghost and carefully stored it all away.Couple a years have passed and finally finished getting a ratty old super dream roadworthy so time ta start the enfield.Would any one have an idea of the ball park figure ta get the crank/big end rebuilt n trued. From what I've read roller bearing is superior but as I'm only going ta be pottering around this time Im sticking with the standard plain bearing.I've got the replacement parts just need em reassembling.Cheers in advance for any helpful advice.Murf

Is this something our hosts' new service centre could tackle? I know Bullet Whisperer over in Wales would do a good job if you're able to get the bits to him, or Henry Price in Gloucestershire to name but two. Also consider Alpha Bearings at Dudley and SEP at Kegworth. You may have on old-fashioned engine machining and rebuild specialist locally who can sort this out for you if they're used to classics. A.

From memory I think I was charged about about £40 for it by our local business in Guernsey.
