Kevin does look nice, but your floor clamp does leave a bit to be desired, still at least you can get a 24 hour plumber out if it breaks!!!

You couldn't get someone to tig it up for you? My Ducati had dropped a valve and a guide on one pot and was about to on the other when I bought it. I had both heads tig welded and re machined and it did involve a little bit of plastic metal as well but that was 2007 and its been going gang busters ever since.

Bertie, That floor clamp is a retracting type. take the chain out and it drops below the level of the bike platform. A neat bit of Scaley engineering!

Unfortunately although Simon's suggestion may be have been the answer, Tornado was in bits at chris the engineers, I was off the France that evening and needed to sort out a solution right there and then. At least I get a guarantee with the head, even if the price was a little more than expected.

I didn't mention it, but Chris showed me a crack in the old head as well, which explained how oil came out of the middle of it. Had assumed it was pourous, but instead it was pouring (out the crack). Probably best to retire it.
