Beezabryan, as stated earlier in the thread, our CX500 has had the same problem for the last 20 years.
It isn't the clutch with that either.
I also stated earlier I will just live with the problem with the Enfield.

Papasmurf I fail to understand your response to a post where it was clearly stated my thoughts, They were not in any way intended to be a comment nor to be a piece of advice.
I rarely bother with this site of late and will now be bothering even less

Beezabryan I was agreeing you. I started the thread before the bike had had a full service, inspection and MOT, the mechanic was aware of the problem beforehand, the possible source of the problem being the clutch has now been discounted.
Which is why I stated I will just have to live with it.

Beezabryan, no problems, the bike is also now developing oily barrel fins with no sign of a leak. Started on the right hand side of the barrel now all of the way around but no leaks or drips visible anywhere.

So do I think it is signs of a leak, however it is not reaching the bottom of the fins on the barrel it is evaporating before it can go any lower.
So I will just live with that as well.
