Thanks Simon do you know what the colours represent on the springs? So I can work out what I have.

No I have no idea although there is a post about it somewhere. You can test the gauge with a calliper to see if they are all the same if not then intersperse the heavier ones with the lighter if they are just put them back would be my suggestion and if it doesn't slip now it won't with the cork plates. Even without a calliper you can pretty much tell if they look the same and have the same number of turns and are the same length they are the same.
