After I bought Thumper, I had a photographer chum take a few pictures of the machine. I've altered him a little since then but what a nice shot...
Now, he looks like this..
I didn't buy the bike to add years to my remaining life. I bought it to add life to my remaining years. Exile.

Having looked through the various machines in this thread it makes me realise how fortunate we are to have the legacy of redditch being continued in India. They are truly beautiful machines and easily converted to suit our own needs and tastes, long may it continue.
Geoff a lovely looking original bike, the black and gold was my first choice, but couldn't find one locally, it will surely lend itself to the customisation you we're thinking of, the seat would set it off a treat. Can't quite see your valve caps what are they?
Tyre valve caps by chance neatly lined up just past 6'oclock on front and rear wheels. Visible if you zoom in. I tried a sprung single seat on an earlier Enfield and didn't get on with it. And the deep rear mudguard on the 350 look a bit odd when exposed. Might need a little carrier, but the scramble type seat might work. Thoughts for the future anyway. Always something to tempt in Mr H's book of treats.
