I think it a familiarity thing.

it was two weeks before I worked out my EFI was male. (Think it was the size of the exhaust pipe maybe?)

And my military iron bullet has to be masculine.

No names for any of my bikes other than what badge is on the tank. But I will give a tender "pat" on the tank (along with verbal praise of "your a good bike") after a spirited and enjoyable flogging.

hello,
My 09 Machismo is Bollygirl, and my Velocette LE is Old Faithfull, as she never let me down. I once had a 34 Francis Barnet Cruiser, witch was The Smoking Torpedo (oubvious)

I used to trial a 350 sidecar outfit back in the 70s, and there is not many places we couldn't that that bike but we always seem to be going over really steep drops mostly controlled but some not taking a tumble to the bottom, my passenger then adopted the song by Vera Lynn ( who? you might say) "We're going over the white cliffs of Dover" at the top of every descent, so the name Vera stuck and every Enfield since has been Vera.

I have a ’61 Panther M120 which is bobbed a bit and finished predominantly in silver powder coat. She is called SILVER SLOTH. The ‘Silver’ bit is obvious but the ‘Sloth’ bit is a reference to the performance. Well, David Essex had his Silver Dream Racer didn’t he?

By the way she is a Choloepus not a Bradypodidae.

My Electra is plain and simple, The Bullet.
