What's wrong with just calling them Square Bits of Wood? Costs too much to put all that on the side of the box, no doubt. I must be from the wrong end of the county (originally). A

Do I smell a rat here? Just spotted the notice on the "Paddle" box. It's not like the NT to spell "Return" wrong! (and print it on a box colour matched to Scalyback's Tornado ). However this could prompt them to provide side stand rests for us, great. While they are at it how about a helmet park/cloakroom.

I mean it's real, but they would do better to put it on a metre or yard high pole so that you could pull one out as you went past and returning it would be as easy as posting a letter!

cant believe I doubted you Scalyback, the camera doesn't lie! On the subject of naming the side stand supports, I seem to recall they were once known as Pucks. Like the Ice hockey shaped things? Ian

Welcome one and all to the "Square or round or oval piece of wood or plastic for supporting motorcycle sidestands" naming competition.

we are at the start of an industry and could get in quick, by picking our own name and flooding the internet, disgracebook, twatter and the such like until the name in internationally adopted.

"Paddles" sounds like puddles

"Pucks" is more Hockeyish

"Stood-ers" sound a little Aussie

"Bike shoe" might be good?

What ideas do you have that could lead to fame and a wiki entry!
