The Other Well Known Leak Route is Near The Push Rod Tube Hole in the Head Gasset...BUT! if its Just a weep and Using No oil as Such (Egg Cup per Week of Use) I would Leave it till you Have to Work on the Head or de-Coke etc...Many ,Including Mine go Years & Thousands of Miles with a little weep..."Its Natures anti Rusting Formula" ......Of course If your Losing More Than a "Cup Full" a week Panic ;0) IMHO.. cheers

Just because you fitted new rocker cover gaskets, don't rule them out. These tapped holes in the head for the hold down studs are notorious for stripping.

Try dipping a cotton bud down into the rocker cover screw holes to check the washers under the bolt heads are still sealing correctly.

I am with Mickey on this one & sorry 'loco builder' but porous heads are quite common on these heads. (just type porous heads into search box on top right) Yes, there are other causes but if its coming out via spark plug or decompressor washers as suggested it suggests lots of oil in the combustion chamber where it should never be unless you have more concerning problem - does the spark plug electrode get covered in oil & the bike run poorly with lots of blue smoke? Poor banjo bolt seal could be culprit but I would be surprised to see oil get around the spark plug side and it would leave a trail. Just my 2 pennoth. Good luck in searching & sorting.

Just had a look on search bar. Type in 'porous head' (not heads) & it should produce desired result.

Thanks guys, food for thought, don't seem to be any major issues other than cosmetic stuff at present. One of those jobs for a weekend, will report back!
