My 05 bullet doesn't like ticking over from cold, so I've cut a rubber band from a piece of cycle inner tube and hook it over the front brake lever and twist grip. Once she has started I just increase the revs a tad on the twist grip, and friction holds it in place until I'm togged up. Slip the rubber band off the brake lever and off I go. Simples!

Just taken a picture of aforementioned elastic band, henceforth to be known as the "Wilfomatic warm-up wonder". However I have no idea how to get the picture fron mobile phone to forum via tablet. Anyhow, if anyone is interested I can supply these state of the art accessories forthe modest sum of, shall we say five guineas each {plus postage & packaging} inclusive of full fitting instructions. the product comes with a no quibble three month guarantee, which can be extended for a further three months at an additional cost of half a guinea (53p). For the non-practical rider I can offer a fitting service for the sum of only thirty-five guineas here in my garage. Fitting generally takes less than an hour, inc. full road test. Please book/order as soon as possible as I expect demand to be high for this unique accessory.

The cable conversion for the on/off enrichening device (choke) is a more convenient method of operation rather than putting a gloved hand under the petrol tank and fumbling for a small lever whilst riding the bike at the same time and attempting to maintain a straight line.
As mentioned it's either on or off. It's a simple plunger with a rubber seal at its base that sits on top of an outlet orifice to prevents fuel from leaving the float chamber. When raised up off its seat by either lever or cable the orifice is exposed and fuel makes its ways via the carb body passageways towards the cylinder.

Sorry folks, obviously not. Just a lot of computer speak. Perhaps I'll get them printed at Boots and post them off to our hosts and ask ever so nicely if they'll pop them on here. (Blooming technology.Pahh!)

Scally will be along shortly to explain better than me how to post pics. I tried to pick up your pic but your Photobucket is set at PRIVATE.
I congratulate you on eth first sensible suggestion to holding the throttle open without resorted to buggering up carb setting

Thanks Wilf, for the 'rubber band tick over regulator' invention. I think I will make my own if you don't mind and before you patent the idea. Perhaps your device could also double as a Cruise Control!
