10:30 AM
b&q Strood
Unit C, Strood Retail Park Commercial Road, Rochester
ME2 2AB.
By the tea hut !! (what else would you expect!!)
The usual "small bike stuff" but it goes like this;-
I will be leading it on a Honda C90 which is capable of 50mph flat out and head on the tank (Just may bring the Enfield if the sun is out but it isn't much faster)
Any bike is welcome especially those Enfield riders in the vicinity.
So don't think for one minute we will be going fast. It's going to be a "bimble" around the small roads and lanes on the sunny and glorious Hoo Penisular. Home of many famous celebs, well the only one i can really think of it Jools Holland in Cliffe !!
We should get to see the Heron Trail (Google it) the Russian Sub, the two forts guarding the entrance to the Medway and other random things that i haven't planned yet. Bit like the route as well, as that will be planned the week before we go with the help of some specialist local knowledge
Reckon we'll be out 'till about 3-4pm but depends where we find for a lunch stop. I suggest it may be worth bringing sandwiches as there are not too many shops. Think there is a mini supermarket in Hoo but i'm not sure when we will get there.
These sort of rather random rides used to get the name of "explorer" rides so we can change plans on the ride.....makes it more fun. The one thing is that we will get you back to B&Q at the end
