As far as editing posts go, a simple read through BEFORE posting would sort that out! 😉

About the only other thing I would personally like changed, and I think Wilf will agree, is to make it more tablet friendly.

Its an Enfield site, it's meant to be simple and old fashioned. For authenticity perhaps more regular crashes and breakdowns could be incorporated! Seriously though, sometimes it really is a little too basic and features such as paragraphs and italics are a must. Even my 20 year old bosch mobile can manage that!

I'm with you Thack. I even sent a polite email enquiring about this, and got a reply they were looking into it. PHPBB is so much more convenient and easier to look through. Don't be afraid, it's more the it's-new-so-must-be-bad! you will all warm up to a Phpbb type forum! I promise!

We don't want anybody just wondering in here and thinking that they are automatically entitled to paragraphs and things...

Paragraphs and bold text need to be earned by learning HTML code!

Keeps it British!

Bloody needs an edit facility though!

As for reading it through before posting, that's when the time out thing happens and allyour text needs to be done again.

That time out thing needs to be deleted right now!

Bulletin board code is a bit outdated now, whereas HTML5 is all new!

we just need a proper type editor to put the code in for us! But sincordia only do html as far as I am aware!

and let's not fall into the 'easier' trap here... It would be easier to own a Honda.......

Gentlemen, if this forum were to be updated, would it neccessarily have to be all new? Would it not be possible to add extra features for those who want them, and are competent enough to take advantage of them, and leave the rest of us to plod happily along, perhaps trying new things when feeling particularly adventurous. BTW I hadn't noticed the time-out.

The time out, yes what a pain in the a**e that is, try to leave a good comprehensive reply and do so at your peril spend ages typing then try to post only to be told to log in, when this is done all you hard work is gone, on more than one occasion I have just dropped it and not bothered trying again. Also it doesn't help that you have to read everything twice before posting. PLEASE PLEASE remove the time out if possible.
