Yep, it's called Bhaji the Bullet. It is a Hindu bike. The Royals Enfield cover had us laughing like drains. If it don't leak, it's staying! A couple of bits of poor chrome patches are painted silver, and I have to get a pot of touchup made for the white when I can ride it to the local paint shop. You see, I love the idea of presenting the efforts of the New Delhi back street workshops doing restoration. The electrics are in pretty good shape, but the headlight isn't working. One for tomorrow. In my view it is just as valid as a powder coated triple chromed concours effort. It just makes me grin, especially as the conversation I had today with the Chairman of REOC has pointed out the dating and registration issues, but none of them led to despair.

Depending on what electrical system you have, the headlight might not work unless the engine's running.

OY! ESSEX LAD>>>

you've made a 5 page post, which is great,

You got a great looking bike which will be unusual even amongst other Royal(s) Enfield bullets

And after the long trip, with the saga and breath holding that went with it, (and even a few here who wondered if you were winding them up), It has arrived!

But for me... The top marks score goes to the most suited and excellent name, Bahji the Bullet!

Long may you and Bahji cruise the lanes of Essex. Well bloody done!

Now just the Devious LA to sort registration out...

A verse from one of my Royal Enfield poems concerning my older bullet...

He spent some years in India,

exported in a hurry,

he's got used to that roast beef smell,

but still remembers curry.
