Hi all.Does the team think that there's more 'lift' on the clutch by using non dog leg levers,and if this is so which of our hosts levers do they recommend.Thank you Pete

Pete they give more lift but I haven't found one to fit the Indian perch

Having explored the clearance issue to its bitter end I can tell you that if the clutch lever isn't providing you with sufficient clearance the problem lies with the clutch not the lever. What era and type of machine is troubling you?

Agree with Simon here. If you are talking about an Albion 'box then getting rid of the outer cover flex works wonders.

Hi Pete. The clutch cover stiffener did cure 90% of the clutch drag. The remaining 10% was cured by binning the dog leg lever. I bought a clutch lever for £2 on Ebay. No idea what it was from; I just took a chance. A little bit of filing of the 'perch' and it fitted perfectly. The result was about 5 mm more 'pull' because there was no longer the kinked bit of the dog leg hitting the switch. I recommend that you visit a breaker and sort through their clutch levers to find the best match.

Thanks for your replys.Bike is a 2003 350 classic.I have done the end cover mod and to be fair the clutch now is not bad.Iam having a winter fiddling sesion and am going to fit a monoblock carb with old type chrome throttle and i thought a new set of levers would look nice and if they also worked better than i could confince myself that it would not be a waste of money.cheers Pete

At risk of sounding like a broken record the fitting of three cork clutch plates will do more for the pleasure of riding than most things and at around fifteen quid they are a bargain. Part no. H89K.
