Forgot to say, I have ordered a Motobat battery, same physical size as one on bike, but it's rated at 16.5ah instead of 14 as original. Should be here Wed. Keeps me off the streets I suppose!

To cut a really long story short, you'll be glad to hear!, I found when checking wiring and removing battery and carrier, to put new one in, that the top bolt was loose. This is also the earth point for frame! Also the paint had not been scraped from the lug. anyway got that all sorted with new stainless bolt and nylock nut. Just got to fit and connect new battery and test it. Now I think I may have perfectly good spare battery and sprag clutch! Oh well, we spend and learn!!
