I am about to start the restoration of my 1967 250 Continental GT which I stripped down in 1979 (yes, I was a lot younger then!)
It currently has slightly rusty steel rims which I will rebuild with alloy rims and stainless spokes.
I remember that this model was available with alloy rims as an option when new.
Does anyone know what were the original alloy rims and if they are still available. If not can you recommend a suitable alternative.
Thanks

Monty, I don't think alloy rims were an option from the Factory (but may have been from Dealers such as Deeprose and Gander and Gray), certainly photos of production bikes don't show them. If they were they would have been Dunlops which have been unobtainable for many years. New British made alloy rims are available from Brickwoods or a wide selection from Central Wheel. Re-chroming is an option, I get mine done at Vehicle and General Plating in Arlesey, Bedfordshire which is where I got the rims on my wife's 1966 GT done and they still look good. There is a group especially for Crusader owners at https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/Cru ... group/info so come and join in!
