No he isn't long gone...... Bike arrives on 21st February, is currently just passing Jeddah in the Red Sea. Customs and NOVA preparation complete,V55/5 done, Indian registration docs in order, apparently. Type Approval not needed or Certificate of Conformance, and no MSVA required either.
The vendor is a nice bloke,he rang me the day it was despatched, we had a nice chat.
I have had Brit bikes and Jap bikes (also have a 73 RD350)and never had a problem with gear lever brake lever crossover.
I wanted another 1930's bike, but this looked like just as much of a laugh. Maintenance wise I don't want electronics or fuel injection, it is a transportation device to get me to the pub and back (probably).
Thanks for all the comments though, even Mark M.
BTW, I am not poor, and I am pleased you are having a good laugh.
We shall see what I get, it is keeping all of us amused here.

Essex Lad, that is good news. Please let us know if all is well when you get it. I want you to get the bike you want, at a fair price, l am not joking at your expense l promise you. If you have visited this site regularly you will know that the "lndian Ringer" problem is real and many have been caught. The Ebay feedback for this guy has some real horror stories, it would have put me off. I and others wanted to warn you that it might be lost money and there are alternative bikes already here in the UK. Good luck, REgards, Mark

Wish I had it tracking number is there is one, it would be great to see how far it had got each day!.

I guess it's set up for Indian petrol (that petrol as it used to be) I guess it will work ok over here with our fuel that fuel of hallucinogenic and alcoholic stuff?

Essex Lad, Try feeding it with 98 of other decent fuel, without ethanol. If you have a Murco, their 98 is good.

Guys... there are still a few outlets selling 4 star for the historical car industry. When are they going to sell proper unleaded in the same way? anybody considered this (Do you own a refinery, perhaps?) Our older bikes would appreciate that I think.

Looks like EB just stoppped by to keep the wind-up going! The fact remains, whatever this bike is - real or imaginary - it ain't anything like any '75 Bullet I ever saw, be it built in Madras or some dodgy Del-boy Indian corner shop. Of course it will be delivered bang on time and as described with a full tank of petrol and the bestest bike in all the world! lol.

Its on the SCI Mumbai, via EMU lines containers, with FMI Freight Forwarding International of Romford doing the customs work and delivery. You can track it here: https://www.fleetmon.com/en/vessels/Sci_Mumbai_2060109 although it the position is one day old now. Port Said.

Of course, I have misled you all. The bike is actually registered with the Indian Army on 11th August 1977, being disposed of on 18th December 1991. Allegedly.

For everyone's amusement, mostly my own, I am going to make a video of the opening of the pallet ceremony. I will post a link when it's done.

Hello Essex Lad, the thing to look for is the frame number. Does it look factory original or re- stamped. If it's re stamped to match the old army documents it will have the teltale flat feeling across the numbers. The reason people are sceptical about this buy is that virtually no old Enfields to come out of India look old. The 60' and 70' bikes had half width hubs, knee pads on the tank, number plate flats on each side of the front mudguard, square rear mudguards, tiny carbs and originally 350cc. The Enfields we see on EBay all look like much newer ones, so people suspect unscrupulous Indian dealers are simply selling newer bikes for a premium with old frame numbers stamped on, usually dated 1965. If you could share the details with us when you get it that would be very interesting.
