I like the idea too. Perhaps stretching it a bit for our 2CV Acadiane though, but I'm considering it.

...don't think it's a moggy van, perhaps an A50 or similar, definately got an austin badge on the bonnet.

Very close Eddie, It is actually an Austin A40, I had one just like it and travelled all around the UK in it sleeping in the back, it was just long enough to take a mattress.

One night in Cornwall parked in a wood with the back doors open as it was so hot I was woken up by a dog licking my face, moving around in my sleep the pillow had fallen out the van and my head was close to following it, HAPPY DAZE.

Dennis is right, I thought i knew what an A40 looked like, but realise i was thinking of the early 1960's Farina (our family transport of the time)

The A40 model goes back to the late forties with vans and saloons being named after english counties..

The Dorset may be possible but also the Devon,or Somerset.. Learn something every day...

wasn't saying THAT van was a Moggy,Eddie! 'though,as we all know,the last Moggy vans were badged as Austins! i had one a few years ago.

If memory serves me correctly mine was the A40 Devon, the rear wheel arches changed shape a couple of times over the production run, when these were made Austin and Morris were separate companies but soon after became one, Austin Morris, later to be called BMC, and I think finally British Leyland.
