Has anyone fitted the"Hs" scramble seat to an iron bullet, in standard trim? Was considering getting one, but it looks a bit wide, and I may have same problem with it digging in to thighs at stops. What would be great, for me and Grumpy, is if there is anybody in north notts, NE Derbys, or South Yorks area that we can view one in the flesh?

Hi I wonder if I can get some advice please.I have a 2003 Sixty 5 and find the standard seat pan digs into my thighs when feet down at traffic lights and junctions etc. On the forum kindly hosted by your self's others have also mentioned this problem. Is your scrambles seat narrower or is the widest point in a different place and so does not have this problem? Also what does it fit to? looking at pictures it seems to use the two front mounting studs the dual seat uses and also the top shock absorber mount for the rear. Clarification would be much appreciated.

Hi Kev,

The 65 model seat is pretty well sculptured around the frame tubes and I don’t think that the Scrambles seat – as comfortable as it is – will solve your problem, it’s a very well padded UK made seat but it is quite high and I would say that you will be a good 1 “ higher than the stock seat.
If your legs are touching the seat base – then I would think about lowering the bike as I don’t think you are going to get the seat much better. You can fit the softer front springs and slightly shorter and better damped rear springs and this will lower the bike down a bit.

Thanks Wayne I appreciate the advice and prompt reply. Its strange because I am over six foot tall and dont have a similar problem with my 1200 bandit which is a much bigger machine. Its the inside of my thighs that touch the widest part of the seat base so you end up with a bandy leg stance!I will just have to live with as its ok feet up thanks again for the advice much appreciated.
